CHARLES CAMPBELL

When I came to US Health Advisors in mid-2017 I was not sure what to expect, but I was in need of a change and an opportunity to prove myself again.  Out of college, I became a stockbroker, and I forged many great communication skills and worked with some people for over 20 years that are still great friends today.  I went into a corporate banking role for 2.5 years. After that, it came to an abrupt halt as the bank suddenly slashed salaries to prep the bank to be sold.  My one and only ever corporate job I will ever hold, I won't go through that again.  In my 40s in Sarasota, FL, I felt my options might be limited.
 

I decided to take the role with USHA, which has proven to be the best professional decision I have ever made.  All I wanted was the chance to help people with great products and the resources to reach the right people quickly.  USHA provided all of that and more.  Overnight I was among the top 1% of producers nationwide and became a leader for new agents.  Fast forward 5 years and several more promotions, and I find myself at  $5 Million in personal production and $60 Million in my team's production.  All of this was made possible by those who had forged this trail before me, being surrounded by an amazing team and a home office that has positioned us to be the best in the business BAR-NONE!  I am beyond grateful!

When I got into health insurance I had ZERO sales experience. I graduated college with a Finance and Accounting degree, and could not find a job in the field as everyone wanted experience. I knew I wanted a job that I could help people and if I worked hard and did my job well I would get paid accordingly. I started at a brokerage where I worked for a year and a half and became one of the top agents only to realize I wasn't making the money I was told I would. I found USHealth in 2015 and quickly realized this was home, and it wasn't just for the money. The company culture from day one from the top of the company to the bottom was nothing I ever experienced. The company's motto of HOPE 'Helping other People Everyday' was not just a motto but was the way everyone acted and treated their clients, and other agents. I couldn't be more grateful to have found such an amazing opportunity where I can earn residual income, have the flexibility to take time to travel, and be happy to come to work everyday to help people.

I've been selling insurance since 2013. My first position in this industry was with a company called HST (healthcare solutions team). I worked 60 hours a week and was earning about $1,500/wk on average. I was young and thought that I was doing very well. after about a year, I came to realize that I was only receiving about 50% of the commission I was entitled to. I knew that I was essentially being cheated out of income, but I couldn't do a whole lot about it because my leader was a big shot at the company. So I decided to leave, and I moved on to Mutual of Omaha, where I sold life insurance; this was a tough job because life insurance is sold by so many different people and places. You can get life insurance at your bank or auto insurance company. So, I had to work very hard to convince people to buy from me. It was hard work to make 1 or 2 sales per week, and leads were expensive. Frankly, I was beginning to think that insurance might not have been the panacea that I was told it was. 


Then, in 2016, a friend of mine was working with US Health and told me about the commissions and products that they offered. My experience in the industry had made me wary of taking anything at face value. So, while I was optimistic, I approached this opportunity with a healthy dose of skepticism. I met with George Priovolos, and he was one of the most down-to-earth people I've ever met. He wasn't trying to sell me on the position, he simply showed me some paychecks of the people that were working under him at the time, and he walked me around the office so that I could speak with the agents that were selling for the company. I just got a feeling that everyone was being genuine and was really happy, and most importantly, they were making good money doing so! 


I decided to take the leap. That has been one of the best decisions of my life. US Health is the career that I imagined insurance could be when I first got licensed back in 2013. It just took me a few years to find it. This career has allowed me to provide a comfortable life for my family as a single parent. As I've said many times, "I'm not sure what I would do if I had to get a regular job." My advice to anyone reading this is: "if you have big ambitions and a strong work ethic, this place will change your life. Take the leap!"

I was a golf professional for 30 years before this incredible opportunity and before/during that time a fine dining server/manager for 14 years in the restaurant business. I am passionate about helping and serving people! I received my degree from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL in 1989 and have lived here in Florida since starting as a Freshman there in 1985. Sasha and I are blessed to have 4 generations living very close; Mom and Dad, two sisters and their families, our three daughters, and now 2 grandsons. I am licensed in all 34 states where our company sells. This opportunity was life-changing for me and my family and I look forward to using my leadership skills and experience to make this equally rewarding for our entire team.

Throughout my entire life, I knew that I wanted to be extraordinary, and I had the mentality that anyone could do anything if they put their mind to it. I wasn't sure what that was going to look like for me.

 

After I graduated high school, I knew that school wasn't for me and that I didn't want to go to college and put myself in massive debt and get a degree in something that I might not want to utilize later on. So at the time, I figured I had a tough road ahead. I started working for a few companies, landed in some warehouse job, worked my tail off, and did pretty well but learned over time that as long as I worked for someone else who calls all the shots, I could only make it so far and no matter how hard I worked to climb the cooperate ladder, I could only make so much money. I had to make a change. Health Insurance wasn’t even on my radar. What I did know was I always enjoyed making connections and helping others. I continued jumping from job to job, feeling less than fulfilled. Luckily, one day a friend mentioned an opportunity in the Health Insurance field. I knew that I loved helping people, so I decided to take a shot in the dark. You miss 100% of the shots you never take, right? Well, I have to say that it was a shot that I was very happy I took and the best decision I have ever made.

 

Here at USHA, I’m my own boss, and I have an uncapped, unlimited opportunity. I feel like my mindset, everything I have done in the past, and the connections that I made have set me up for this great opportunity. I have made more money here than I could have ever imagined and continue to grow my account daily, which gives me more freedom and allows me to grow and create an amazing future for my family. I can now literally throw money at my problems. I advanced into leadership to change the lives of others that also took the leap of faith like me and have the opportunity for their own. I am now helping other people change their families' lives. Not just around me here in the office but all over the country, putting them in a better position than where I found them. Helping other people every day has changed my life and now the sky is the limit!

Throughout my adult life, I never felt appreciated for what I was doing, so I knew I needed a change. After graduating from college with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, I did not have a plan. So like everyone out of college, I took the first job I was offered and hated it! I was helping someone else live their dream and making them money. After about three months, this came to an abrupt halt... I wanted a position that had meaning to me; being a health advisor checked all the boxes.

 

A significant factor in choosing to work with USHA was the room for advancement and the ability to sell an exclusive product that actually helps people. Doing the right thing every day has made me financially successful, and just the feeling of fulfillment when I put myself to bed and wake up the following day happy. At no means was my journey easy, but nothing that has a tangible reward in this life does. Being accountable, coachable, and having a great attitude has helped me build a great career surrounded by even more incredible people.

When I first began my career here at US Health in March 2020, I was nervous about it being too good to be true. I had been in the same industry for about 8 years prior (Service/Hospitality) and was not very comfortable with the idea of change. On my third day ever with the company, the pandemic hit and the whole world shut down. Now I’m thinking, “how in the world will I ever make it through this and succeed?!” It had seemed as if every obstacle imaginable was being thrown at me with the total intent of FAILURE. With the amazing mentality that the company instills in its agents H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Everyday), I was able to do exactly that! Once I focused on helping and not selling, my business flourished in a matter of a couple of weeks and I never once looked back! The company grew exponentially that year and proved to me once again that this opportunity is EXACTLY what it is presented to you at the door of entry. My life was and is completely changed almost overnight and has single-handedly been the best decision I’ve ever made for myself to this day!

I’ve worked entirely in the healthcare industry in different capacities since graduating with my undergraduate degree. I’ve excelled in sales & marketing roles for start-ups, mid-size companies, and Fortune 50 corporations. However, I grew frustrated with the uncertainties of these environments as the individual performance was not a guarantee of career advancement and potential earnings. As an overachiever with an entrepreneurial spirit, I’ve always had an interest in running my own business.

 

That’s when USHA found me at the perfect time. I’ve been an agent here since March 2021 and have already been promoted to a leadership role. The opportunities for career advancement and unlimited earnings are self-motivating, as is the satisfaction of growing my own book of business. The combination of hard work, creativity, and innovation is what motivates me here. At a young age, I knew I wanted to be extraordinary, and I had the mindset that anyone could do anything. I wanted to play sports professionally, and in high school, major injuries set back my dreams. I disliked school itself and knew I didn’t want to go the college route, so after high school, I started working in an entry-level position at a Fortune 500 retail company. 10 years later, I was in upper management, making over 6 figures and managing a team of over 50 people. I felt trapped that I couldn’t advance any higher without spending years more in my position, so I made a life-changing decision to jump into sales, where I could make more money and have more freedom. After 3 years, I was told my commissions would be capped out, I basically hit a ceiling. I knew this wasn’t what I wanted either. Luckily I found USHA, where now I’m my own boss, and I have an uncapped, unlimited opportunity. I feel like everything I have done in the past has set me up for this great opportunity, and the sky is the limit! In just my first year, I made more money than I was making in my corporate position, which took me 10 years to achieve. I advanced into leadership and am now helping people change their families' lives. Helping other people every day has changed my life.

As a professional team leader and sales consultant, I entered this opportunity with little knowledge of the health insurance industry. However, I am so glad I took this leap of faith! I get to help people with such important decisions as their healthcare, and I can provide a superior product. Unlike other positions I have had, this is more than just selling a product. This is helping people make an informed decision on the very thing they rely on in a medical emergency. There’s no better feeling than knowing you had an impact on providing quality medical benefits for someone when they needed it.

 

The people I work with are always available to help, and the training program and ongoing support are second to none. Again, I can speak from experience; if you’re willing to work hard and learn, this can be a very rewarding career. In a very short time, I have built a solid clientele base and residual income stream.
